Playback of 25p content

    Hi All,

    I am experiencing an odd issue, where if I playback content that is in 25fps, I get buffering every minute. If I play content in 24fps, I get no buffering at all. What makes this weirder, is that while the content buffers, I am connected to my home wireless, on the 5GHZ band. If I switch this to the 2.4GHZ band, and playback the 25fps content, I get no buffering at all.

    Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    Are you sure it's related to the frame rate? What are the data rates for the files? At present it just sounds like variable wifi and the differences between files. Maybe try to capture some logs so people can see what's going on. Otherwise it's all pretty much guesswork.

    Run an Ethernet cable. If you see the same issue it's something weird but probably related to video modes. If the issue is gone the issue was the wireless connection; all complaints about weird playback issues are invalid when using wireless :)
