Libreelec does not detect Wi-Fi networks

I just installed the latest version 8.2.3 and it does not detect any wifi network. I have a wifi adapter for usb. Before Openelec had installed and had no problem. By the way, I have a raspberry pi 2

The wifi adapter is for usb and the model is SMC EZ Connect g I do not know what chipset it has. thanks for answering

And what does that have to do? It is assumed that Libreelec and Openelec are practically equal. With Openelec I have no problem and with Libreelec yes. I wanted to change to Libreelec by Kodi 17.6, with Openelec still at 17.3. but since I can not find a way to find Wi-Fi networks, I'm sorry but I'm going to install Openelec again

I provided the specs for the LE staff. They will tell you whether that old WIFI adapter is supported. Wait a while before going back to OE.

^ the kernel module is enabled in config so we'd need to see "dmesg | paste" output to see if there are firmware loading or other issues.

btw, whining at the people you'd like to help you doesn't usually inspire them much. If you want to run OE, go nuts and enjoy yourself.

Do not get angry man, both with Openelec and with OSMC the wifi adapter so old that I have it working perfectly, and you know why ?, because both Openelec and OSMC have more soperte for wifi card drivers than Libreelec. Nothing happens, as you say I have already returned to Openelec. Thank you anyway.

We recently removed older firmwares as they're just a waste of space since almost nobody is using these older devices (some of which are only capable of 802.11b). Your device probably falls into that category and is now missing firmware.

We're willing to consider adding the firmware file(s) back when users work with us and help us identify the required firmware, but I guess you're not willing so enjoy OpenELEC and see you again in a few months.

For obscure hardware we can also tell you how to install the firmware yourself, which would get you up and running with LibreELEC in a few minutes, but unless you tell us the required firmware by providing "dmesg" details we can't help you.

could be the regulatory domain configured in firmware, depending on what channels the Wi-Fi networks are on, this is more an issue with 5G networks though

Most realtek chip based devices are supported in LE
