VDR and Tvheadend

VDR and Tvheadend are equliant in function for Libreelec ? I am using tvheadend now on Wetek play2, can VDR also scan and watch live tv from DVB-s ?

Not identical, but broadly equivalent. Both support DVB-S.

install VDR, use the vdr-config addon for scanning, done

or you can copy/paste your own channels.conf from yaVDR Channelpedia: Overview

Rizwan , yes. Just .zip your channel list files (without backup files) , enter here:

TwojeIP.net - Jakie jest moje IP? and convert your e2 list into channels.conf (vdr format). Just show location to this .zip file with e2 list (max lamedb 4 is supported and 512kb filesize)

I was using this converter for my older wetek play with oe/le and vdr installed. With play2 it works also but here tvheadend is much better for me. There is also enigma2 settings converter for Tvheadend (e22tvh)

II try many time but, its not good on tvheadend, this converter give error no 53, before transfer to wetek. I manually copy channel folder and input folder, created by converter, but not work. all FTA channels show message Subscription error

This info mean that channels need to be scanned for all needed informations / pids etc (or channel does not exist anymore on this tp). Just run option Force scan in tvh webif (configuration> dvb adapters> networks> select your network and force scan ). Wait when finish and all channels should work

I already did as you say, But seem problem there , no life for Diseq port B, also no such configuration for C-band

With VDR I manage to scan 13E, it seem slightly easy as compare to tvhradend, FTA channels working, Oscam configured, but, VNSI client error on encrypted channels, say, channel: no data

Default listen port for vdr is 2000 , set this same in oscam dvbapi, also boxtype as PC and pmt mode : 4 . Restart everything and should work . But on play2 vdr is less stable . I prefere tvheadend

I just only testing this, tvheadend work for me, but, I stuck on C- band . Tvheadend with 4 port Diseq is not scanning c- band. For Enigma2 box, I use to configure my c-band lnb as user define and on parameters 05150, 05750 with threshold 6600. May be later find some solution

I do as but chanels not clear same massage, no data, only fta work

zbigzbig20 we will install oscam from libreelec repo and services like in tvheadend?or something different?..as in tvhead same oscam working fine but with vdr it is giving me same error message as rizwan quoted..

my question is we have to disable that oscam which is working with tvhead ?

hi. No I am using this same oscam. But for tvheadend default listen port is 9000 so if I want to use this same oscam on both (tvh or vdr) I always set listen port in oscam on 2000 (also in tvheadend ). After this if you want to use vdr instead tvh this same oscam also will work
