External Hard Drives Don't Mount

I have 5 external hard drives plugged into a high quality hub, and the hub is connected to the wetek play 1 box. I am running the latest beta of libreelec. I am using the libreelec share function to see these five drives from a windows computer. I am cycling the power on the box, hub, and drives to change which drives mount.

The drives almost never all mount. I get a random mix of drives that mount, and almost always there is at least one drive that refuses to mount. One time I got all five to mount.

Is there a script to run at startup to mount them that will ensure that they always mount?

First thing is to share the URL from "dmesg | paste" so we can maybe see what's going on.

It means login over SSH and run that command, then share the URL the command generates. Users provide statements. Logs provide facts. We prefer facts

I'm not sure what you pasted but it's unlikely to be the sole dmesg output.

Try the following commands:

and post again the returned URLs.

Are these all USB powered only external drives? Because the "high quality" hub might still not be able to power all drives at the same time when you say that most of time you only get some of the drives to mount. And you only got all drives mounted just one time. How about a 2nd powered USB hub, and connect two of your drives on the other hub.

Also check each drive for disk errors. Linux can be picky when mounting drives with errors, or drives being disconnected improperly.

You need to submit "dmesg | paste" after a clean boot. Taking it hours after the logs rotate is no use.

It is a 14 port hub. It only has five drives in it right now. It doesn't have any problems supplying power to 7 or more drives when the same hub was plugged into a windows machine. I have a friend who has all ports being used - All external drives.

You need to login and paste the logs after about 30 seconds. If you leave it for 4-5 mins (as the above attempt does) the crappy Amlogic kernel has logged so many hdmi errors the log buffer is starting to FIFO rotate and the early boot messages we're trying to see are missing.
