Installing the Milkdrop visualisation fails

Hi all, I've tried installing the Milkdrop visualisation from afedchin's GitHub repo but it fails when trying to install from zip file. Is this visualisation simply incompatible with LibreElec (missing libraries and/or drivers) or is it worth trying to install the addon manually? It would be fantastic to be able to get my library of Milkdrop visualisations working in Kodi on the big TV.

It's a binary add-on that must be compiled, it cannot be simply downloaded and installed. I'm not sure which repo this is distributed from..

I'm having the same difficultly. Strange that something so popular is so difficult to get to work. I'm guessing it can only be compiled under Linux using Make (does Libreelec have this functionality ?) Any help, instructions would be greatly appreciated.

That particular version requires DirectX so it cannot be compiled/used under Linux (and we don't have compile tools in the OS anyway).
