Bluetooth is disabled. You are correct. BlazeTV has a volume slider onscreen. I've read the thread you provided a few times but I'm a bit rusty on details to enter changes. It's been a few years since my RPI days but I think I can still use putty to SSH into the HTPC if that's what's necessary. I'm a bit fuzzy on exactly what worked for Amanda and just what she entered to get there. Can I simply edit the guisettings.xml file from my Linux system? Just need a little guidance here. Thanks in advance.

I disconnected wireless mouse/keyboard and used an ancient plug in keyboard. Same results. I navigated to my subscription sight and the video played with no sound. I navigated to youtube and sound worked. Then back to my subscription site and the uh oh something wrong error.

I have a dual boot set up to run Win10 on one drive and LE10 on the other. I now need to run Win10 just to get sound to work for one subscription site. Very odd. Same exact setup running Win10 and Chrome and all is good. LE10 with Chrome and the errors. Must be some hidden issue someplace. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the interest. This is my first shot at sending a logfile and I used the LE System selection. I hope I did it right. I forgot to write down the entire link but the ending was 3y80. I might need some hand holding to do this correctly and thanks again. This issues has haunted me for some time now.

Just for the H of it I retraced my error in Chrome and uploaded the logfile again. I paid a little more attention this time and the link is http://ix.io/3y8e

    Hope I did it ok.

I was hoping some of my issues with Chrome might be solved with the V10 upgrade but now I'm really stumped and hoping someone might have a solution.

I'm running the LE x86 V10 on a PC and Chrome works just wonderful. I'm writing this using Chrome on LE at the moment. No special audio device needed and all is well.

I moved my LE drive to the HTPC (same basic PC hardware) only uses Sony HDMI for video/audio. I didn't need to change anything and audio works great for Chrome running YouTube and online local TV channels. I subscribe to service called Blaze TV which works fine on the PC and dies with "uh oh...something went wrong" on the HTPC. Obviously something to do with the HDMI system but like I mentioned I'm stumped. Anyone have any thoughts?

I've had the same experience. I found that Youtube usually works first try so I go there first then on to TV sites. Sometimes nothing gets the audio motor running and I have to close Chrome and start all over. I know it's hokey and frustrating but eventually it works. I'm hoping that LE10 will address the problem and fix once and for all.

Thanks to both PA and Da Flex for the replies. Still on the fence here and I'm totally spoiled with LE. I tried Kodi on a FireStick and it works but is clunky to me after using LE for so long. I won't bore anyone with the trip through the weeds involved to get a stick working and updating. My Intel x86 system running LE has been three years without a hiccup. Rock solid work of stellar software IMHO.

A small portable system does have appeal though and still looking for right one to test out.

I'm building a LE system for my daughter and wonder if anyone has used the Mi Box. The specs and reliability look pretty good. I own a few RPIs but I wanted to keep this build as simple as possible. Using just a remote with no keyboard and maybe a usb stick for offline storage. Seems lots of cheap Android boxes around with some pretty bad reviews overall. The Mi seems to have good reviews or does it?

You are correct that this is not a new issue. My setting using the custom audio device are hw:0,7 on my system. My issue appears to be an HDMI issue with this Chrome build. This is isolated to one app in particular blazetv.com (so far). It works fine same setup using Chrome running under Windows but the LE Chrome version fails sometimes with "Uh oh" Chrome errors. At the same time all other sites that use audio work fine. Just trying to narrow down the cause. I was simply hoping the new version might fix the problem but so far no such luck. Thanks for the response as I'm about to give up on it. Not that big a deal I just need to reboot to another system to watch this app. Thanks again for the help.

Now I'm puzzled once again. It seems that this version of Chrome doesn't like HDMI sound or so it seems. I was able to update Chrome on a test build USB stick and it works fine on my desktop. I tried the same usb on my HTPC setup which is hooked up to my Sony TV and Chrome fires up nicely and all is working. YouTube sound is fine. As soon as I try to watch BlazeTV from Chrome no sound. Sometimes I get dreaded "Aw Snap" thing. It may related to the HDMI audio. Here's the Kodi - System Audio Settings:

ALSA:HDA:Intel, SNY SONY TV *00 on HDMI #1

I have Chrome on another disc on this system running under Windows and sound works for all apps. Anyone have any suggestions?

I need a new ACME catalog I guess.

Chrome is a useful and welcome program addon to my LE system and kudos to the members who put it together. I've had issues with my Sony TV and finding the right settings to get the sound to work. Sometimes it worked fine then other times silent with no setting changes. I think there might enough of us having issues to put a detailed "How to guide" for those of us tech challenged to find some help to keep this valuable addon supported and developed for the x86 systems.

Anyway I did make it work until recently when it once again went silent. I think there was an update and kabluwee!

My last setting that used to work was Custom Audio Device was hw:0,7

Anyone want to tackle this with me?

    Thanks,

Thanks for the updated Chrome browser. On my i3 system I've had my issues with Chrome. Once I was able to get the sound working last year it works very well for our needs. I can stream video from most sites with no problem but for some the audio is silent. Youtube audio works fine but a TV news channel plays video with no sound (sometimes). I've tried restarting the TV to refresh but doesn't seem to work. The next session sound is back. Kinda tweaks my brain a bit. A show I like to watch on Chrome keeps giving me the "Aw snap! Something went wrong message." I was hoping this new release might fix that but I tried it this morning and same error. I have to reboot to our Windows system then all works fine on a Chrome browser.

In any case glad someone with the skills is keeping the Chrome browser addon alive and working for x86 users.

    Many thanks.
