Community releases have their own release circle and in no way attached to any strings from official ones even if they are based on them.
What if i don't want to pull any other minor stuff in ? Since this is not official i see no harm releasing a "final" after krypton 17.5 dropped and call it a day and if the le team want to take over and release "official" images well, please do. But till that day comes, i call this S8X2 LE-8.2 final release and move on.

i think s802 boot loader cant work as s812 can so better get an s812 bootloader on it if you want to boot from sd.
I did as i was getting that issues also but i could run installer from sd.

you need to use etcher tool and burn image to sdcard or usb
1st thats L not kitkat
2nd you cant you must flash with amlogic tool the .img file.
3rd if you do see my previous comment for L rom
You can flash MXIII-PLUS kitkat and get the S812 bootloader if you don't care about android you can flash latest L rom and boot from sdcard( you wont be able to boot android rom without a mod)
Yes i know why is this, some boxes cant power on from remote when completely off(bootloader issue) so i preferred to force all to be in standby mode so everyone is happy camper.
Am using MXIII-G/PLUS L bootloader on my S82 S802 and i can boot from sdcard perfectly. I wasn't able to to so when i had the official one.
As others reported i was getting the text saying filesystem corruption has happened lol
As cripes11122 already said your box is an S812 and you try to use S802 image and S802 dont have gbit lans thats why you face this issue.
Correct image for your box would be MXIII-PLUS as OP description in 1st page
I can get it to install and run from microSD on my MXIII-G however I'm unsure how to install to internal NAND? I've read that there is an option to install to NAND in the shutdown menu of LibreElec but there is no such option in my build.
Any advice how to install to internal memory? Would be nice to free up micoSD card and maybe a small speed improvement also.
I'm running the LibreELEC-S8X2.arm-8.2.RC3-MXIII-PLUS build.

just login to box using ssh or putty and type # installtointernal then follow instructions
