I know what's wrong
I will fix it and release new images for you.

I was on 8.0.2b before 8.2.2 and I'm pretty certain I had the same problem then. I haven't been using the box since moving off from Android as it took me a while to find the time to sort out the SMB issues.
Would a screenshot of the problem help?
Nope, can you consider testing it on a different 4k tv?
-
I've got a strange problem with 4K on my Neo X8H Plus running 8.2.2.
If I change the resolution of the Kodi interface to 4K the TV just displays a static 1080p image in the top left quarter of the screen. The image appears to be what was on screen immediately before the Confirm/Revert resolution change message.
If I hit back on the remote, it reverts back to 1080p. I've tried setting refresh rate down to 24Hz (from 60Hz) before changing the resolution, but this doesn't make any difference.
If I leave the Kodi interface at 1080p and then play a 4K video, the TV switches to 4K @ 24Hz and plays the video. However, a static image of the Kodi interface is overlayed in the top left corner as above.
Great now go back version by version and tell me when this bug started happening so i can fix it
Thank you.

Besides all of it? Considering this is the first question I asked and I have not read the entire thread... Really no need to be rude.
So the polite answer is you might release an update after LibreElec 9 goes stable?
The polite answer is don't ask for ETA's and if it comes it comes.
And if you are impatient you can always build your own image.

Is there any way of getting kodi 18 on a tronsmart s89 box I have that's already running the 8.2.2 version? I would love to get netflix working...
What part of "i like to go stable so don't ask rolling builds" you didn't understand?

Dont worry guys MiQi got in and is 99.99% identical to Firefly Rk3288 Board

Thanks again Kshi!
I bought these boxes a couple of years ago, but found them pretty limited at the time.
Thanks to the efforts by devs like Demetris my box actually 'got better with age'.
I started with the MXIII builds and 'upgraded' using the latest 8.2.2 S82 .tar file, but I will go back at some point to see if I could have just used the S82 SD image. I did issue the 'touch /storage/.update/.nocompat' from SSH prior to performing the update - maybe not needed if you start from S82?
Also, I haven't been able to boot my box via USB yet, so it took me a while to figure out for my hardware, a SD card was needed.
BTW - Is S82 short for S802/S8x2?
These boxes must use the S82 image Beelink S82, Orbsmart S82, Tronsmart S89(-H), MXIII(2G)
-
Of course not!
I will release a new version with kodi 17.6 and that audio issue fixed

Hi Demetris - Latest MXIII-G build does CPU core 1 usage seem high?
Did you tried disabling wifi+bluetooth?
-
Thats because i do have an MXIII-G bought to me by The Libretro Team is creating RetroArch and Lakka | Patreon to port Lakka on it thus leading to S8X2 renaming for my previous S802 project

M8S doesnt have gigabit lan so you are using a wrong image maybe and thats why you had ethernet issues with balbes150.

Dear community,
Am I being rude or inappropriate when I ask questions here? Twice I asked detailed questions and to no answers. Please tell me if I breached etiquette in some way.
Now my question:
I have two OTT XT-S812-V10 AP6330 boxes that i'd like to install LE on. They are definitely M8M2-n200C. I finally managed to find working ROMS from Ghostware that worked PERFECTLY. LAN, Wireless, Bluetooth, etc.
I used CPU-Z and it reported Total RAM at 1580 MB and internal storage at 4.81GB. Is this normal?
I tried all of Demetris' builds and the closest I got was with the S8X2.arm-8.2-M*S-PLUS.img. Everything proceeds normally until the Libreelec (community): 8.2 screen is displayed, then it goes black.
Is this something to do with the .nocompat? If so how does one go about applying that if it's a first install? Is it already in the latest builds?
All help appreciated.
your box depending on the ethernet is either M8S+(if gbit lan) ot M8S(if no gbit lan)

You serious? am about to release v8.2.1 with kernel 3.10.108 LTS released 2017-11-04 what you have now is beyond compare with this release.
Edit: Release is being uploaded!

Demetris could you enlighten me as to how I would flash a S812 bootloader to a S802 device please? Also what bootloader do you recommend?
I can't boot off SD and currently can't update due to module failed to load on boot
As always very much appreciate all you have done
Many thanks and all the best
Paul
On my board S82/89 i used the MXIII-PLUS image with amlogic tool from windows then rom stuck at kernel loading for obvious reasons
Then i shutdown, loaded an sdcard etcher burned image of S8X2 for my board and now i was able to boot from it.
