Well done for getting a test up with Krypton.

I installed this version today on my MiniMx 1g / 8g on Nand. Straight over from kszaq .008 build.
Copied your file plus my working .008 dtb into update folder and re booted.
Waited 45 minutes for the Kodi Add-on Migration screen to finish.
I pulled out power and replugged. That was as long as i was going to wait HA!
Powered up all good to estuary skin. I left my jarvis add-on build on there just to see what happens.
My App/TV skin hasn't ported to Krypton yet so off i went with estuary.
First impressions of the skin were it is not bad until i started finding my way around the GUI.
After an hour "I tossed it". Looks too much like a Tablet Interface and too many clicks getting around to nowhere.

Playback so far has been pretty good with no real issues i have seen.

The one and only real problem is that Live Streams that buffer in the first 5 seconds of start up will
never recover to normal playback. If a stream buffers , playback will freeze and stopping playback is the only option or i get throw outs.
The buffer wheel in the middle of the screen may or may not show up. If it does, it shows 63% then 0% without the playback ever resumed. Something messed up there. This could be a Kodi Issue.
I will keep this box on Krypton to test down the track.
For those reading this post and only have one box for Kodi. "DONT RUSH FOR KRYPTON" as there is nothing worth jumping to. Very BETA.
    :)

Hi to everyone. I have a MXIII 4k S802 2G/8G box with the ap6234 WiFi chipset. Does somebody knows if there is a build for this particular box with this chipset? Sorry for the question but i can not find anything and i would like to have any help.
    Thanks.

I think this is the only thread with links for the s802.
Just in case you missed it.
The S802 chipset but not sure about your AMPAK AP6234 WiFi
From memory i believe that wifi chip is currently an issue with S905 boxes, as the source code isn't available.
That's all i can tell you for now.

7.0.2.6 of course. I think I should try 7.0.2.4. Furthermore, Openelec 6.0.3.8 run finely on my OTT MXQ Box.

You can also try switching the Audio output at System/System/Audio output/Audio output device

Have you sorted out the sound by trying the settings.

I have used LibreELEC-S805.HD18Q.arm-7.0.2.6.img.gz on one All Black MXQ and

LibreELEC-S805.MXQ.arm-7.0.2.6.img.gz on another All Black MXQ.

I can advise you that Both Boxes are Lightning Fast and have the best Memory Management ever seen from 1gb Boxes.

I am running both from internal memory (Nand)

What type of SD Card are you running ? Size , Class etc.
Something is not right unless you have one of the Spoofed Ram Boxes which only have 512mb of real ram.

O so I have 07 on sd card, to update do I change dtb on root or just add new 08 dtb in "update" folder. Also do you unrar the img.gz or leave it as it is.

img.gz & new 008 dtb into the update folder.
That is it. No Unpacking .
You dont toothpick into recovery you reboot after you have copied the 2 files.
    [hr]
Today i updated my MiniMx 1gb/8gb which is running on internal nand.

    I updated using the LibreELEC-S905.aarch64-7.0.2.008-fix.img.gz
    along with gxbb_p200_1G_1Gbit.dtb (7.0.2.008)

No issues with the device tree not installing. All went perfect including remote / wifi / ethernet.
Please note because i have never used the realtek wifi fix dtb in previous versions i stuck with what worked before.
This particular box never needed the wifi fix on all previous versions.
    Thanks again kszaq. :)

I'd like to stop this thread. If you want a hardware listing it should be in a maintained wiki page not a forum thread that very quickly becomes 20+ pages and hard to follow. I would also ask you to refrain from using the terms "to buy" and "not to buy" as forum rules ask you not to promote commercial products (and we'll extend the same idea to the wiki). I would also prefer if the eventual wiki page had a consistent maintainer who keeps the content up-to-date as LE software and vendor firmware evolves, i.e. not a free for all. Make sense?

    Totally agree. :D
This was going to get well out of control.

The Beelink Miii should run as well as a Miii ii shouldn't it. The only difference is the x.

The S905x chip only has a couple of codec formats it can play that the S905 cannot. They are vp9 / HDR or whatever.
The problem is the S905x fails to play those formats properly due to software not developed properly.
The other failures are this chip has been tested in various tech sites and it performed pretty poorly against the S905x.
It is apparently under clocked to 1.5ghz for whatever reason. (Maybe Overheating causing throttle) I am sure in LE the chip will improve in performance however the formats that the S905x is able to play compared to the S905 is of no use to the Majority of users.

    Hi all,

I'm now a huge new fan of LibreELEC and get it running on whatever I can. I have however bought a Beelink Miii ii with the S905X chip as it turns out this was a mistake because the wifi chip is not supported. (I have not received it yet in the mail)

I am just wondering if you guys think the Aigale WiFi chips will ever be supported or should I send the box back??

    Thoughts??

    Been a while. See Link.

EDIT3: WiFi also seems to just die after a few minutes of streaming as reported by kostaman on build 007.

    MiniMx g or 111 2Gb / 16Gb all black no beelink branding.
    LibreELEC-S905.aarch64-7.0.2.008.img.gz (Running Nand Install)
    7.0.2.008 Device tree . gxbb_p200_2G_1Gbit.dtb
No issues with wifi dropping. Just tried 1080p movie stream for 15 minutes. Constant 7.5mb forward. 100%
Hope the new Device tree Installed during update.
    Try manually installing it. dd

I tried to google but nothing comes up for your box or its specs.

I hope the owner of this box has a high tolerance level for failure.
This is about as good as i could find on the specs.
I would say the chip is an OLD Revision "B"
It is an S905. It runs Lollipop.
    100 or 1gb ethernet ????

My hardware is Arive 4K Combo with 905B chipset which I presume is 905X variant and 1gb ram.

    Dual band Wi-Fi - 802.11 b / g / n 2.4GHz / 5Ghz
modem Ethernet (LAN) for an interactive communication with the Internet
Bluetooth - connect the keyboard and mouse or other devices
    SD card reader
    Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
    Recovery switch
    Micro SD card reader

    Specification:
Chipset: Amlogic S905-B, quad core Cortex A53 @ 2:02 GHz
    Flash Memory: EMMC 8GB
    DDR III Memory: 1GB

I have not received any errors from the OSX Terminal.

Somehow never the less it did not seem to go right. I cant get the renamed dbt.img, cause the SD wont mount!

I have tried it on a Linux-System with the same result.

    Can you go to #573
I had a real long posting session with another member back then and he got it in the end.

Start reading from that post regarding using ApplePi-Baker to burn images to sd card.
That is what i use, as Terminal in OSX has given me problems in the past.
The fact that your SD card did not mount after terminal commands suggests it did not work.
