    Checked the SoC temps ?

    Code
    LibreELEC (community): 8.2.3.1 (S905.arm)
    H96Pro:~ # cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp
    66000
    H96Pro:~ #
    LibreELEC (community): 8.2.3.1 (S905.arm)
    TX3mini:~ # cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp
    54000
    TX3mini:~

I checked temp via system info previously on both the H96Pro and the TX3 Mini whilst testing and both were in the high 50c.

Edit: Updated test above when picture pixelated playing a recording.

Jumped 10 minutes forward and picture came good for about 3 minutes and went bad.

Jumped 1 minute forward same thing.

The other recordings on 9HD and Live 9HD were tested during the 7HD testing live and recordings but only 7HD plays up.

Edit: Other HD Channels also playing up Recordings and Live TV. ABCHD/SBSHD

I even switched to the server Box TX7 to play 7HD recordings and Live with no issues at all.

    It's got me stuffed.

I plugged the Hard Drive with the recordings Directly into the USB port of the TX3Mini and bad same playback

Edit: This is Hardware Related issue or Device Tree, I have no idea.

I just tried my K1 Pro with the same SD Card (changed Device tree) and an old A95X S905 Chip. WORKS PERFECT.

I even went back to Last Jarvis with this TX3 Mini SAME BAD results.

    Tried adamg's 8.90.3 Same results.

    Switched HDMI Cables and all.

I tried using a TX3 Mini and my H96Pro to try and use TVHeadend Client.

My TX7 is the server with TVHeadend. I've been using the TX7 with a hard drive attached and the sony play 3 tuner for a while with no issues whatsoever.

The issues i had today when i installed TVHeadend Client to the above hardware do not happen to the TX 7 with the hard drive connected via usb and the tuner also connected via usb to the tx7.

My issues are that playback of recorded files and live TV using the client hardware causes Pixelation Artifacts within seconds of playback. It seems to only happen on one station. 7HD. The recordings of 7HD seem to also be the the only files that cause this. ( More Testing required )

Live Playback on all other tv stations is fine using client hardware.

I thought this may be a TVHeadend Client issue until i used File Manager to add the TX 7 Attached Hard Drive as a source and tried playing the recordings from the station 7HD this way.

    Piece of the recording.

The Davis Cup – Google Drive

    The same playback issue again.

Ethernet connected all devices no buffering when this happens.

    Why not gigabit ethernet adapter

    My home is Cat5 wired.

I have a 70 inch Full HD 1080p TV which is 4.7 metres away from viewing.

High Bitrate 1080p video files at that viewing distance is more than adequate. ( I wont go into the 4k distance to view quality thing )

In Australia there is no Free to Air televised in anything higher than 1080i

Highest internet speed available to my home is 35 Mbps. :)

Too bad about the wifi, though; did it have issues straight out of the box, or only after running LE?

Had issues before LE. I'm running LE via SD Card by the way.

It has the same issues in Android.

Very good speed via 5.8 Ghz.

I ordered an ethernet adapter with Asix Chip. See what happens when i get it.

The Freaktab link is not really a guide for my version H96Pro S905x as the wifi chip is different as well.

I only paid US $34.00 for the dongle and mainly for travelling.

It runs off my Phone Charger as well.

My question is whether anyone has successfully run LibreElec on such AMlogic 'stick/dongle' hardware and if it worked stably or had any power/thermal/wifi issues?

    I purchased the H96Pro S905X NOT S912.

I power it via USB HDD input on my tv with no issues. Cable required.

My tv powers it off completely and when TV is turned on it powers it up. Cold Bootup.

Crap 2.4g wifi. Apart from that it runs LE from kszaq's latest 8.2.3.1 perfectly.

The HDMI Extender KILLS CEC .

Also the wifi on mine is not realtek

kszaq I have my TX7 (see my devices signature) on all the time and have had the box working perfectly well until the last few days.

The only thing different is i activated CEC which i didn't have activated before. Maybe a coincidence ?

Since activating CEC i turn on my TV and the box sometimes does not respond to the Factory remote control or my TV remote.

This morning i turned on the TV and the box was not responding to any remote control the time must have stopped when something went wrong as it was showing 4.10 am and the real time was 9.30am

It does not respond to the official kodi phone remote control on my phone even though it is connecting.

The box is showing up on my Network and i am able to see all the box files on my Mac.

I can also SSH to the box using Terminal on my Mac.

I issued a command dmesg as i didn't know what else to do.
