Fourthed (if that exists)! Very good starting point for the boxes - now on CoreELEC, but that, too, has profited a lot from kszaq I am given to understand.

Back to the topic, there's an update available from our side, which addresses one issue it seems.
There's a second issue that the data might drop on certain Amlogic boxes, but as far as we've seen that seems to happen on very cheap devices only which possibly have some other issues.
The last few Amlogic based boxes which we have tested did not seem to have such a problem.
Sundtek SkyTV Ultimate - DTV_CLEAR failed [e=Success] - Hardware - CoreELEC Forums
And I can confirm that this works now (at least on CoreELEC), which is just great news!

Shall I really try with the v8.2.4.2-Test2-wetekdvb build on this box?
Yes. I did that on my ANTSIR (= Dolamee D6) box and even the VFD now works. Just make sure you use the right device tree afterwards (for me that meant using a tree that is originally meant for a 905W box ...).
-
Erm that is not entirely correct.
My v8.2.4.2 Krypton S905 builds defiantly have VFD support.
I have a VFD display working on a S905W box (A95X-R2) after following THIS guide.
Also used were the new v8.2.4.2 device trees found in the following folder:MEGA
You also have to install the service.openvfd-1.0.1.zip Addon that I compiled for LibreELEC.
Thx. for reminding me.
wrxtasy , thanks for posting this. This actually worked for me with my ANTSIR box as well (for the moment, I like to stick with Krypton) since I use a MySQL database to sync all my watched states and so on.
So, I thank both you and The Coolest for the great work and making the first of these boxes I ever got much more useful now!

Nice! Glad to see that it works.
S905W and S905X are pretty similar (the W is a cut down version of the X), so the dtb should work just fine in most cases.
As long as everything works fine on your box, such as LAN, wifi, and you don't experience any issues, you should be ok with this DTB.
I'm almost positive that these boxes use a common design, only different SoCs.
The positions of all the ports seems to be identical, and the A95X R2 also has a front button on the inside that is not exposed on the plastic casing.
Yes, I am aware of the similarity between W and X, the only issue with the actual Ws is that I at least had to deactivate interlacing in order for the picture to be displayed properly. What is interesting is that originally I had to use the slowemmc DTB. Also, there is one issue, namely the remote does not work now, not even with the original remote.conf of the box. But that is not really a problem since I tend to use either the mini keyboard or Yatse.

I'm sorry to say, but I had to give up.
The DTB doesn't have the configuration, nor does it even say what type of controller the box has.
Without source code from that box there's no way for me to add support for it.
It's possible that it's a rebranded A95X R2 (like my box).So my suggestion would be to use the a95x r2 dtb + the a95x r2 vfd.conf file, and see if that gets you anywhere. The a95x r2 vfd.conf needs that specific dtb, otherwise it won't work.
Holy sh1t, man, that works! Although my box (allegedly) has a S905X architecture, the dtb for the a95x r2 (which, judging by the filename, is a S905W) did the trick (see attached photo). Obviously, I now have to check all the other stuff, but this is really nice work, thank you very much!

I see. It has an identical display to a box I have Abox A1 Max (or A95X R2).
If you manage to get a hold of the stock rom/firmware for the box let me know, and I'll see if I can extract the info out of it.
I'm coming up empty.Hi, The Coolest ,
I am just now checking back here and I am impressed by the progress you have made. So, I was interested whether a configuration for my ANTSIR box is now available and from the above answer you gave me im March, I thought I would need this configuration. So, I followed the instructions on the CoreELEC Forum, but unfortunately nothing shows up on my front panel.
Should I have used a different config?
Cheers,

Well, thanks for your efforts anyway. I'll check back from time to time to see whether something has transpired.

Ok, over at our German kodinerds forum, there is a link which even still seems to work. Would be great, if you could use that!
-
It is this one. Apparently, it is also sold by the name "Dolamee D6".

Hi The Coolest , this all sound really great. Unfortunately, I do not have time to try this out on my ANTSIR box at the moment, but I will definitely do so as soon as I can. As of now, the display does not show a thing, but it has been a while since I tried GDPR-2 's build on it. Also, the original Android is long gone, so I cannot extract the DTB-file ...

Hi, could you be a bit more specific? What exactly do you mean by "not happy"? or or ?
-
Hi guys,
just wanted to let you know that I had what I thought was this problem with S905w-boxes. However, the solution with trying to force RGB output like above did not help. What did help is switching off deinterlacing as described here. Maybe someone else can benefit from this.
-
How on earth did you find that command? Whatever, it works for me too, so thanks a lot!
-
Herman,
have a look here. You probably need the Device Tree with the _slowemmc-suffix.

Hi,
due to special circumstances with the DVB-Sticks I am using, I had to manually install this TvHeadend version (see the discussion about it here). I am running 8.2.2.1 and I have no issues with LiveTV. So I suggest:
a) first update to 8.2.2.1 (should happen automatically, if you did not set the update policy to manual)
b) if you still experience stuttering, try exchanging tvHeadend and try again
Would be good to know what you find.

Hi, sorry, still waiting for my own S905W box, so I cannot test myself ...
