As you have tagged me, If I had a dollar for every-time I heard age used an excuse I’d be a very wealthy man. It’s used here quite a lot too.

In my 7th decade now and have never needed to use it as an excuse or for attention. I think both apply in your case.

My original suggestion to you was made in a very gentle and subtle way. You’ve chosen to interpret it differently. You’ve got my attention now.

Now I suggest you fully read the rules, read the wiki and the many duplicate posts that are made here on the same subject. You may actually learn from them.

If that’s not to your liking well I suggest you join a men’s shed. They’d probably have more time to humour you. You won’t get much traction here. Folks are way too busy for that.

There's no automated migration process for TVH 4.2 to 4.3 from what I know, the only instructions I could find was "copy the files over and maybe it'll work". When I installed 4.3 it just showed the setup wizard.

Unfortunately that seems to cover different problems - changing the path of the recordings (path didn't change for me), and going from older versions to 4.2. As I said, TVH can see the old recordings and metadata, the problem is the Kodi TVS client isn't showing them.

Might be worth taking it up with the addon provider so. I’m not experiencing the problem and wasn’t sure how familiar you were with TVH. Looks like you have your head around things. Remember we don’t have an idea what level of experience users have until they say so https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.hts

Ok. You seem quite capable in the Linux environment. Not everyone that posts here is.

You can create a script to import the 4.2 recordings into 4.3. Generally when upgrading versions of TVH as part of the upgrade process you’re supposed to migrate your old recordings. Clearly this didn’t happen in your case.

If you’d like to read through this link you’ll get a better insight into how this issue can be resolved. https://tvheadend.org/boards/5/topics/29697

Looks like is was something to do with the libreelec settings problem. Installed the nightly with that fixed and TVHeadend is working.

If you’re restoring a backup from a different hardware platform which I suspect you are, an RPI Arm processor to X86__64 processor you are likely dumping the Arm built version of TVH onto the x86_64 machine.

CvH could you confirm if that could be indeed the case here.

Decide what version of TVH you want to run and enable it. That will point the TVH service daemon to that version.

Once you have done this go to the TVH Web UI and run the Configuration again noting the name and password you use for both Admin and User access. Do a fresh scan and map the services you require.

Once you’ve completed the above, in LE go to PVR Live Tv section and delete all channels and epg settings. Reboot LE and you should have all the new channels and epg you found when you ran the Configuration Wizard in TVH.

Maybe you could report back here and let us know how you are progressing.

I think most of this has been explained to you here. I’d avoid using backups of LE from different hardware platforms. Start fresh installing LE/TVH server/client on your Dell machine Backup TVHeadend server via SSH

You pretty much posted the same thing here but never came back with any update. You don’t need to delete either version. Just disable one version and enable the other.

Can you supply a little more detail on the TVH side. If you are talking about the name and password for TVH in the web ui not being accepted all you need do is access the credentials in

    kodi/userdata/service.tvheadend42 folder.

accesscontrol and you should find it there.
