Another johngalt kernel test build. Added wp2 dvb driver.

Image is build for KI Pro. For other S905 devices you have to replace nougat device tree.
afl1: I installed your build on my kii pro and also the tvheadend as in post 1. Now how do I watch live TV? I am not seeing an option to watch them in libreelec? I even enabled the pvr TV client...
Am I missing something?
Can u pls guide me to watch satellite channels on libreelec?
Watch on youtube tvheadend tutorial.
Thank you, I updated links to that dtb, and added that patch. I missed that commit prior, otherwise patches/sources were good.
Edit: "testing7" uploaded with that patch and the bbc dvb-t fix added back.
Internal dvb tuner is working now!
Hi John, does your build support internal Tuners like KII Pro or KI Pro ?
can we just update your latest test build on afl1 build ?
If they're supported in kszaq's builds, then they're supported here. You can update as with any other build (place in .update or write to sd).
Internal dvb tuner isn't supported in testing6. johngalt fix your sources, you have to update linux patches for nougat. Look in my branch
LibreELEC.tv/projects/S905/patches/linux at 8.0.2-testing6 · afl1/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
Also update dtb for KI Pro, there is fix for IR.
afl1, could you please make a johngalt-based image (latest "8.0.2-testing5" seems to be very good), as i prefer nougat's PQ rather than marshmallow's
Many thanks in advance!
Test build for KI Pro with johngalt kernel from testing5.

Don't install it to NAND. There is nougat dtb.
I installed dbt via TWRP using android update and now LE is fully running from NAND.
Unpack following archive to empty SD card.
Put card in box and restart it. If TWRP3 is not starting use toothpick method.
In TWRP install from SD card KI_PRO_dtb.zip. Use USB mouse to control TWRP.
Remove SD card and restart box.
kszaq try to find how to install dtb in nougat boxes.
I won't be able to check this until the beginning of next month.
The issue for KI Pro internal install is in device tree installation. After the command installtointernal LE running from nand still use android dtb.
For LE running from SD:

In NAND version are missing dvbfe and meson-remote -> no internal dvb tuner, no IR controller.
Most likely command for installing dvb in installtointernal isn't correct for nougat:
You mean dtb is important for tuner or for WiFi chip? Can you also please tell me which version of tvheadend should I use with it?
When Kszaq 's build supports internal tuner, what difference does your build offers compared to Kszaq's build?
Tvheadend recommendation is in #1 (pls read release notices). Device tree is box hw description. Both images are nearly identical. In my image is implemented experimental faster channel switching.
Maybe it´s the problem who says quitroot.
EDIT: I update all, and not works... Any special configuration
LE is verifying device type of update. S912 updates are denied in S905 box.
Sorry, 'not works' without any debug log is no issue report. For serious reporting is necessary kernel startup log, kodi and tvheadend debug log.
But at first start with clean LE installation on new SD card.
Hello afl1
I downloaded the tar update from page 1 says it's for s905
This does not seem right the KIII is s912?
regards
Fixed.
DVB-T Scan no works on this version, or maybe i have something wrong?
Thank you!
There are no changes in DVB-T. I successfully tested DVB-T for this version.
the tar update file direct to LibreELEC-S912.arm-8.0-8.0.2c-I.tar its s912 not s905.
Fixed.
Thank a million again for your work afl1
Would it be possible to include a reference and link to the device tree in the first post? Makes it easier to locate for existing users and new users tend to skip this step because they don't read further than the first post.
Device tree is already included in SD image, you needn't replace it for KIII Pro.
hi Kszaq, your latest build 2c is butter smooth. I am loving it and so far no issues. I would like to ask you if the internal tuner in KII Pro is by default supported in your latest build? Or should we wait for afl1 to release a special version for us?
Thanks in a
Internal tuner in 8.0.2c is supported by default. You need only use proper dtb. For running installation you can upgrade by .tar file.
Greetings,
Dear afl1; Would your images be WeTek Play 2?
How about it?
Best regards...
You already asked kszaq. Wetek Play 2 hasn't public sources for internal dvb tuners. There are only kernel modules incompatible with our builds.
