Oh man,
I just received my RPI4 on Friday, to find out that there's now an RPi5 on the way.

Display MoreLE 11.0.3 pre-dates the RPi5 release, so no
We are still thinking about if or how we include RPi5 support in LE 11 (eg 11.0.4).
Background info: we've been testing with LE12, which runs entirely 64bit code and can take advantage of several nice optimizations (eg accelerated deinterlace) which are only available on 64bit.
LE11 on RPi is entirely 32bit userspace code though. Adding 64bit support to it would open a can of worms (lots of the addons would need updates etc) so likely I'll have a look at doing a 32bit LE11 RPi5 build as this should be easier to achieve (fingers crossed).
so long,

Yeah
Time for next donation
Will LE 11.0.3 run with a raspberry Pi 5 ?
Display MoreHi,
just want to say "Thank you" to the developers that permanently work on improving LE.
I tried a new nightly image and was thrilled by the amazing "new" sound.
Same movie with an older nightly and a recent nightly same setup and configuration - difference like stereo to surround
You guys do a pretty good job!
Cheers
What do you think about a donation to Team LibreElec?
No, Team will release a blogpost.
No bigger problems. Rockchip and Allwinner still have to be tested.
Unimportant
A quetion about more than 2 weeks Pre-release 11.0.2 and internal testing ... are there problems with this release ?
The two device you posted cost $100 together and I need a set for each of my $35 raspberry?
Yes, it seems so if you have more than 1 TV.
I think that this is worst software regression I came across in my lifetime so far.
Uff, hold on und be aware, that this a open source project (like LibreElec) ! Support and development
is continued by volunteers at no cost. It would be more appropriate to make a donation to Hyperion NG or Libreelec and hope someone will sit down and develop this in their spare time.
What I don't quite understand is the hyperion function broken for every device that can run LibreELEC or is it only about the raspberries?
You can install Hyperion NG on a Raspberry Pi 4. Since LE 10 and 11 the graphic driver has been changed. In setup of Hyperion you can choose external grabber to grab the screen.
Hi wolve
i was in a similar situation. My setup is via external grabber and Splitter.
Forget cheap grabbers etc. This is crap an going to be broken after few weeks.
Here my grabber and Splitter - works good without any issues more tha 1 year - with LibreElec 10 and 11.

You dont need a splitter if your AV Receiver has a second HDMI Output.
Go from second HDMI Output into HDMI Grabber, from HDMI Grabber into RPI
No extra RPI needed.
Thats correct. External HDMI Grabber is the only way to get ambilight.
Maybe the next release will fix this, Kodi 20.1 is out.
But a LE 11.0.1 will take time due to the recent 11.0.0 Version.
