Today i got my Pi 5 - this works perfectly. But you have to disable your boost settings from PI 4

Hope for LE 11 release for the Pi 5.

So, i will order a Pi 5 + new Power Suppy on Monday. This will replaced my PI 4 with LE 11.0.3.

To upgrade:

- Full Backup

- Upload via FTP img file for Pi 5 to ".update" folder

- create in ".update" folder ".nocompat" file

- turn off

- Plugin USB Stick into PI 5 - restart

- Hope

We are still thinking about if or how we include RPi5 support in LE 11 (eg 11.0.4).

Background info: we've been testing with LE12, which runs entirely 64bit code and can take advantage of several nice optimizations (eg accelerated deinterlace) which are only available on 64bit.

LE11 on RPi is entirely 32bit userspace code though. Adding 64bit support to it would open a can of worms (lots of the addons would need updates etc) so likely I'll have a look at doing a 32bit LE11 RPi5 build as this should be easier to achieve (fingers crossed).

Your thoughts are wrong.

You need the Mirabox to grab the screen from the source and send this Infos to the Rasp4. (Hyperion must be installed) to get Ambilight.

Source --> Splitter IN -->

--> Splitter OUT 1 --> TV

--> Splitter OUT 2 --> Mirabox IN --> Mirabox OUT --> PI 4 USB 3.0 IN
