Thanks for the feedback!
After disabling Lirc in LE settings you have to reboot, then in-kernel decoding will be used (running Lirc disables that) and the remote should work again. Could you try that?so long,
Hias
Works fine now after reboot

Yes, you are absolutely right, the "slice" DT overlay seems to be broken. I'll ping the
To get back IR on the Slice the following line in /flash/config.txt should work
This will use the more modern gpio-rc-recv driver which means you'll also be able to disable Lirc in LE settings.
so long,
Hias
This has fixed IR, you have to leave the setting enable in the settings as i tested disabling it and it stopped it working
-
i am guessing this is the issue

Slice 3, totally factory lircd configure, will upload the logs in next 5 mins

Lirc is enable in settings, but still does not work, this was working fine in the release 8.2.3
-
I don't seem to have any problems with 8.2.4 but i have already turned off the RSS feed is yours switched on?
Are you running CM1 or CM3 in your Slice?

MikeBuzz Can you test this firmware? Latest firmware with emmc clock change just reverted for external emmc platforms.
that version is working fine as well

The firmware you suggested works fine

It seems it is the 8.2.4 firmware, boots works for a few mins then stops responding to any input, now back to 8.2.3 and working as it should
-
Hi Milhouse,
Mine is box default with no over clock, i will stick the 8.2.4 firmware files on now and let you know if get the same issue
-
I had auto updates enabled, on updating to 8.2.4 the system hangs, will not respond to any local input and also network fails to respond.
I have not had time to check the logs, but it could be do with the new RPI 3+ updates

Any one interested in a heat sink for the CM3?
-
MikeBuzz, how?Well i have no idea. i accidentally copied over the Slice instead of the Slice3 file over to the update folder, on the 1st reboot it extracted the files no problem on the reboot after the update i just got the normal rainbow splash which is kinda of expected as could not load the kernel.img, so i powered off and connected the usb mini to the pc, it detected the internal HDD no problems, then i connected the power and loaded up rpiboot, all i get is "Waiting for BCM283x" i can see no way past this and have no idea why it would of happened
-
I have killed my CM3, so waiting on a replacement

in the latest build for CM3 posted here 7-95-1 Slice analog audio is not supported. There is no
ALSA: Default (snd_slice Analog) option shown in Settings/System/AudioAre you planning to update the Index of /slice/ again or is the link above the correct one to use?
Where will I find a fix to test?
Thanks
RogerRoger, what the file you have downloaded? is it the RPi2 version as i see no mention of Slice on that page
you can get the Slice3 build here
