The updates are independent to the actual release, usual we start the auto update a bit delayed to have some time buffer IF something is broken we do not know yet.
Autoupdate starts tomorrow.

likewise the situation has improved, no idea if it just works now as nobody from the team has a similar setup

Just to add a suboptimal idea, if you need a workaround just power down the LAN at LE with cron and enable LAN with cron at some timeframe
Or close kodi with systemctl stop kodi and after some time start it again

i have Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS on WSL2 windows 10
try Ubuntu 22.04, unlikely that Ubuntu 20.04 is working

We do not offer any hyperion.ng addons so not much I can help.
Blind guess, try to reinstall hyperion.ng from wherever you got it before.

try to switch HDMI ports or set the HDMI port to PC mode or similar
I assume that you use the same HDMI cable for both TV ?

No. DRM PRIME was never properly implemented for x86.
wondering if we could disable this option at the kodi gui as it just creates problems ?
