This was discussed and we came to the conclusion that it is not worth the trouble (as the modules only fit to a particular Kernel Version) and the maintenance. The Kodi update function is basically not good enough to ensure that properly working.

after installing the latest version of the DVB drivers
Oki so with LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.2.0-dvb-1.1.1.img.gz it works and what version doesn't work - "latest" could be anything thats why I ask.
Pls also provide an dmesg | paste (via ssh) from the not working version.

You need an oscam setup regardless if build in or extern ci.
Smartmouse Easymouse 2 Premium for 20€ or a Smargo for 1-15€(eBay). Most tutorials are Easymouse based so likely easiest way.

Idk why you need CI (an usb CI reader might be enough) but basically every usb device has the same problem
It looks like starting 2018 the old M88DS3103 wasn't available anymore and just the M88DS3103b was manufactured -> every device with M88DS3103 might be problematic due that

currently there are no drivers for that b revision of that chip
basically every other USB-S2 device has the same problem at his 2018+ versions
