Why driver addons are build by default ?

Why not just let the user download it if they are needed?

This was discussed and we came to the conclusion that it is not worth the trouble (as the modules only fit to a particular Kernel Version) and the maintenance. The Kodi update function is basically not good enough to ensure that properly working.
