Maybe, depending on your RPi5 hardware revision.
-
Nope, that doesn't work. For RPi5 you need bleeding edge LE, like a nightly build or the upcoming LE 12.0.2.

Disabling WiFi isn't going to help with the 2.4GHz device when USB 3.0 is the source of issues.
We still don't know that for sure.

Is the idea that there might be interference in the signal, or that it's too far from the remote?
First one. Disable the internal WiFi at config.txt:

Now to solving YouTube, Netflix and EON TV and it may even end up as useable setup.

Create new threads in Add-on Support, if necessary.

I put this thread into Showcase section, so both Tailscale installation methods are united.

Get an RPi5 for TV, and a Mac mini M4 for the rest. X86 NUCs are outdated, and you still need Windows for some firmware updates.

Usage of banned add-ons means no support.

We will not implement it as an official feature. An unofficial implementation already exists:
ThreadSimultaneous Audio Output
Hi, I developed Dual Audio output support for Kodi (see the post in Kodi forum) and I think LibreELEC is a more practical build for most of the media player hardware. I start a post here mainly for getting support for building more ready-to-use releases for different hardware devices running LibreELEC.
Now I've built Generic/RPi version for testing purpose. I have an Intel NUC so that I can run this for test. I saw some demands that request this feature on other devices, because of limited time…xhblNovember 5, 2022 at 9:15 PM -
rkershenbaum Congrats! BTW: Instead of ARC, you can use the second RPi5 HDMI port for audio (also without AVR OSD).
-
That's a known issue for newer RPi 5 hardware. Please click at "Downloads", and use the latest nightly build.
-
The TV detects the connection as a "Receiver", and even shows the model number.
Yep, the AVR definitely adds some data.
-
You probably need to experiment with different TV ports...
I think you should try that. We have reports on the forum that different HDMI ports act differently. Usually the first HDMI port of the TV is the most capable one.
