it's a router (tp-link vr600) connect to usb drive. not a NAS.

this is what I have done:

1. create a file name: storage-vr600.mount

with this text (password and username are hidden for security reasons):

2. put it at my ki pro to this folder :

/storge/.config/system.d/

3. send this command through ssh:

systemctl enable storage-vr600.mount

4. reset the device.

5. then I saw the folder buy it's empty.

I set the LE config to min: smbv2, max: smbv3. In Kodi services i set max to smbv3. That works here.

Also, i think that some nas systems require smbv1 to function

All set as you mention. Still no change.

The wird thing is that I can get reached to the folder with kodi file manager.

It's my first time that I checked this on 8.1.8 and didn't work for me either.

mount: mounting //192.168.1.1/volume(sda1)/photos/ on /storage/test failed: Host is down

the peth change because now is set to share all at the rounter.

and test folder exist.

but now is shows host is down.

I tried to mount network shares folder with my tp link router without success...

im using usb storge connented to my router, with kodi file manager I can get to the folder, its look like:

smb://ARCHER_VR600/photos(sda1)/

when I tried to mount it with this command by ssh im getting error:

After updating to version 8.1.0-8.1.2

I have problems to connect my ki pro by smb with my phone (android andsmb app), he asks for username and password (old version of libreelec it work just fine).

With my laptop using windows 10 everything works perfectly,without setting username or password.

This is version for testing and it isn't recommended to install it to internal. But anyway for update internal from SD you can use 'installtointernal'. In this version, installtointernal has modify dialog for preserving data partition (LE config). Finally you can update putting .img to /storage/.update, but don't forget add nougat dtb.

My mistake , I forgot that the first time need to connect wired, and only then is able to connect wirelessly.
