That's what we doing here: experimenting.
I've just watched a movie (34 GB BD iSO) with DTS HD MA audio without a glitch on an H96 Pro.
My M8S II (LE 012j) cannot play this movie for unknown reason (it can play other BD ISO files) so I've just selected my S912 box (with the latest LE on it) and it just worked.

What I really missing is VP9 playing, but I hope kszaq will do the magic as he did it before many times...

The first step is not neccessary beacuse the LE install makes a copy of your android remote.conf to your cards root folder.
From there you can copy to .config and delete the unused remote codes from it.

It means not all the H96 Pro comes with the same remote.
It makes sense why they put six different remote code to their factory remote.conf.

Download as webm, nothing.
Download as MP4 - all is OK.

Do you know that webm is only a container format? It can contain VP8 or VP9 video and Vorbis or Opus audio.
The problem is the VP9 video format.
I cannot play any VP9 video from my collection. These all work with S905X (LE 012j).

This file plays only Archos video player, no one more.

DD+ plays fine here (even that file you linked).
All the HD sounds and LPCM work well too (even 24 bit 192 kHz DTS HD).

I don't care the GUI tearing until the movies play well...
The S912 has a big advantage against the S905X: the gigabit lan. (I know the S905 also has gigabit ethernet but it cannot play 4k VP9)
And this latest version is much better than I expected.
It is still running although I tried everything to make it stop.

That's not a real infra remote (more like a wireless keyboard and mouse) so you don't need remote.conf for that. Some button (the colored ones and the power for sure) can work as infra sender and you can teach these from an another remote.

As I see factory_inf_code can be any number (not only 0 and 1) so you can put any number of remote to one file (see here the remote.conf structure).
Unfortunately Kodi/LE cannot handle this (only Android can).

RK3229 is NOT an amlogic chip.

Why don't you put android to nand and LE to USB/SD?
