It’s the only emulator i’m missing.

I know cemu is windows only but on linux you can play cemu via wine.

Create a Docker container with 32bit libs, wine and you can maybe play Cemu. Or just bother them to release a Linux build...

Meganiekje at least on my systems Chrome works now "tear free" again but this could also be Chrome v77.x related.

Yes it looks like it's somewhat broken... I haven't looked into it since it worked in the past and it only freezes once you clicked on the window of the welcome message. I guess it's a Retroarch bug and needs some fixing then But since it only works in non-KMS mode it's more of a gimmick than an important feature.

EDIT:
I guess I figured it out... the welcome screen implementation looks somewhat broken... because it locks the qt based menu while you technically could alt+tab back to XMB. Edit the file below in your Retroarch config folder, so copy paste, and try again if you're able to use WIMP.

In general you'll still run into trouble once a window or notification opens. Well maybe it's a Qt bug but most likely a Retroarch fault because other Qt based programs run fine.

You don't have to but it makes sense if you run sometime into trouble with some cores. The ES & RA config files are user adjustable so I can't just overwrite them without resetting your personal settings.

Haven't overseen yet but I'm quite busy with Amlogic stuff & Kernel 5.3 at the moment. But I've talked to niabi about it and will add it at some point.

Have a look at my latest changes in dev-rr branch and see if you can build and run Qt now. My changes were primary ment for lima & panfrost but should fix your mesa related problems too. At least I was able to compile AMLGX with lima/panfrost & all of my packages including Qt but neither SDL2 nor Qt can properly pick up the KMS/DRI device... well I guess the driver needs some fixing then. But the RPi4 driver should be in way better shape.

Well maybe this is linked to mesa 19.2.0 - I guess we have to wait for a Chrome update or fix in the mesa RC
1746685 – This is very weird but after upgrade mesa from 19.2.0~rc1-2 to 19.2.0~rc1-3 in Google Chrome browser appeared artifacts.

You could alse see if you find a proper switch here List of Chromium Command Line Switches « Peter Beverloo and add it to chrome-flags.conf in the google-chrome dir in configfiles.

I did a test on a i5-4590 with HD4600 IGP, and chrome does run correctly on this system.

What's the output if you just run plain:

kodi-service.sh --stop
strace /opt/google/chrome/chrome

This should boot chrome without any flags... maybe they screw things up.

you could run this in a terminal step by step and post the output here:

kodi-service.sh --stop
export CHROME_USER_FLAGS="$(cat ~/.config/google-chrome/chrome-flags.conf)"
strace /opt/google/chrome/chrome $CHROME_USER_FLAGS "$@"

this will stop Kodi then get's the usual chrome flags and run strace & chrome

If I find some time this weekend I will overhaul the thread a bit.
