Can anyone test this image? It includes some fixes which could fix this issue with black screen when booting. With kernel 4.4.

just tested this image.
boots - good. no blank screen
after setting some settings(changed resolution to 1280/720(old plasma)
booted the cubox, and got no boot. red light is flicking constantly.
stock on LE logo. -

Vpeter, i tried your 4.8 image and everything is alright. I noticed that it's include kodi 17.1.

Official images are using 4.4 from xbian. Same as I here: Index of /imx6-xbian-kernel-4.4/
This are mine images with 3.14 from solidrun: Index of /imx6-solidrun-kernel-3.14/
And this are mine images with 4.8 from xbian: Index of /imx6-xbian-kernel-4.8/thanks.
so if i understood right the image LibreELEC-imx6.arm-8.0.0-test-ir-01.tar contains the fix that you are talking about. -
Remote works fine in libreleec too after this kernel patch (confirmed by spschneer).
Also kernel 4.8 was never affected with this bug.OK, Can You Tell Me Wich Kernel Use The "official" image of cubox, posted in the main page?
Whick Kernel Is Implemented in your Directory?(i'm talking about the image of 22.2.2017 not the solidrun kernel)do you suggest to use this image?

The last weekend I tried the xbian image. The remote worked fine. So I think that the problem is not with the kernel (4.8)and not with kodi. Something is wrong in le image. The comparison were between the two official builds.

hi all,
first, i know that the cubox is not official supported.
i did a clean install with the latest beta provided.
the problem is that i can't use my oneforall Remote. the cursor is
too sensitive, and when moving it with the rows. got not respond.
when i tick to the right it moves to the end etc'.this problem doesn't exists in the beta-2, which is the one that i'm using.

Hi Vpeter, Good News :). Tested the 4.8 kernel Version and It Worked Without No issue.
thanks to you and to xbian team for this big effort.
no black screen, could change resolution with no problems, played a movie and a serie also
and it worked very good. i think even the picture quality was better...i own an old equipment, a Samsung Plasma 42 inch, and an old receiver(yamaha) with optical sound entry,
and all worked fine.
so i think that people with newer equipment then mine should not have any issue.maybe you could provied also a kodi 16.1 with this kernel?
