in addition to installing LCD support to the OS (via our addon) you also need to install LCD support to Kodi (via their addon). I'll admit it's not the most obvious thing..
Then service.lcdd addon should have requires set for kodi's addon?

Probably you will get same problem for all projects.
I think boot from internal was removed? Or maybe I'm wrong.
It‘s still working.
I tried to setup yesterday on Generic and could got it working again. Maybe it depends on image used.
Enable kodi debug log, try opening one menu and then upload log file somewhere.
I didn't checked lately if this thing still works and maybe something is broken. If I'm bored one day I will try it again.
I was testing with
Get.Out.2017.1080p.Blu-ray.AVC.DTS-HD.MA.5.1-HDChina
V.for.Vendetta.2005.1080p.CEE.BluRay.AVC.TrueHD.5.1-FGT
Or from post #50 for RPi.
True, there is no "real" addon to be installed manually as .zip file. Because I'm lazy and didn't finish addon yet. Well, most things are done already. So maybe one day there will be proper addon.
So...how do install/use the Java menu plugin?
Install addon and open menu. If it doesn't open check kodi log if there is any clue.
What exactly are you trying to add/change in initramfs? Seems removing both packages does rebuild initramfs.cpio.
From Adam:
QuoteDisplay MoreI have to say I am rather perplexed by this announcement to say the least.
On the subject of derogatory comments there has been comments by Team LE members stating that CE is full of hacks on public forums which I deem to be derogatory and unfair so this is not as 1 sided as has been made out.
Now to the crux of the issue, my decision to leave Slack was purely for the stress induced on me by the constant battling to add support for S905/S912 to LE officially, there was so much resistance and objection to it especially from lrusak. If memory serves me correctly Rockchip and Allwinner was constantly used as examples of how vendors should work with us and there was no interest in adding support for a vendor that doesn't play ball. Raybuntu pushed through the S905/S912 support PRs despite the objections and that is the only reason it exists now in LE. Then there was the knitpicking, fighting and personal comments especially from milhouse. So I didn't want to be a part of that anymore understandably.
I tried my utmost and hardest to be a part of LE and a part of the Team to no avail, the environment is hostile and I never once received a thank you for your contribution from anybody. I tried to communicate my issues with chewitt on many occasions and was ignored, you have to know when to give up.
I have not been deliberately awkward and have always credited LE both on GitHub and publically in forums and make no attempt to pass CE off as anything other than a minor fork of LE. I said in team discussions that I did not want it to be another OE <>CE situation.
Now my decision to be asked to be deleted from these forums is a totally different matter and is purely as a result of the new community builds policy that I deem to be draconian and anti-FOSS.
Myself and Ray have continued to contribute to LE since we created the fork by still helping users with LE/kszaq builds so saying we are refusing to participate is nonsense.
To be able to use LE assets (forum) we now have to use LE branding/ versioning and upstream fixes which are incompatible with LE, CE is not compatible with this stringent set of requirements clearly and neither is OpenPHT and the flux of other forks that exist.
There is far too much animosity here as shown by the posts above and I no longer wish to be a part of any of it.
As usual not only truth written
uh, not sure from what Info you got it but 8.2 isn't even working at 17.10
His file is named Ubuntu-18.04-LTS-LibreELEC.tv-8.2.5.zip which means he is building 8.2.5
With the current LE Master I am able to build an WP2 image just fine at Ubuntu 18.04 without any changes.
He was building 8.2.5.
trex_daemon: this issue with sundtek is investigated.
