S905/Odroid C2 -> HDR10 possible?

    Thanks! Can someone recommend a s905x box on which I can "easily" install Libreelec? By the way what's the big problem with Kodi running on Android? Is it really that bad? Seems as Kodi on Android would support everything on these boxes (HD Audio, HDR, 4k, VP-9...)?

    S905's like the ODROID C2 can play 4K HDR10 and 4K Dolbyvision. But HDR10 has incorrect colorspace mapping and output.

    Better to watch 4K HDR10 & Dolbyvision content these days anyway using Netflix, Amazon Video and iTunes on an Apple TV 4K that was released just today. Trying to do it all on the one box simply is not possible if you want decent 4K video content.

    Nothing wrong with HD Audio, HDR, VP9 on Android Kodi BUT you need properly bug busted AMLogic Firmware and that lives pretty much exclusively on the AML S912 MINIX U9. AML Android Nougat has some bugs busted - and supports HD Kodi Krypton Audio.

    Only AMLogic Android boxes I know of that have working Android Kodi Krypton dynamic refresh switching working are the MINIX U9 & WeTek Hub / Play2. These guys are Kodi Diamond Sponsors so they actually have an incentive to provide ongoing bug busting Android Firmware support. That is what you pay for.
