I just got a MiBox and my menu navigation is super slow. No 3rd party addons. Just my Emby library and a few legit addons like ted talks, pbs kids, crunchy roll, and ustvnow. Movies and TV shows play without a hitch, but navigating and setting up skins sucks and I keep getting crashes. CPU and RAM usage are pretty low during freezes as well. Running Kodi 17.3 that was downloaded from the Play Store. Will changing to LibreElec fix those issues?

As a general rule Linux is more efficient and achieves better performance than Android.
wrxtasy .. you had a Mi Box for testing a while back if memory serves?

Bootloader and Kernel locked down on the Xiaomi Mi Box with SELinux - so its a no go for LibreELEC on the Mi Box.
Pity as its a cheap quality device otherwise - excellent AC WiFi.
What I can do however is use the excellent Mi Box BT wireless remote for Android TV ROM use on the Hub / Play2.
Would be an excellent BT remote for LibreELEC if I could get it up and running too.
Suggest a Firmware update & Factory Reset if any Android box is crashing with as many problems as described above.

Agreed. I used to try pairing this Mi remote with LibreELEC (amlogic s905) but not successful. Is there way to fix this?

Dang. Well, that sucks. I'll try the factory reset. If that doesn't fix it it's going back to Wal Mart. Thanks for the answer.

That's a lot under the hood for $60. If this MiBox doesn't work out, that'll definitely be the next purchase.
