Trying to open any kind of zip file from a usb stick, the file is not executed, but shown as various files.
I am also trying to make a restore from a backup, using the official kodi BACKUP app, but, it fails.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? And which file is supposed to be run or executed?
If you think we can establish psychic connection to find out what is happening at your end, we unfortunately have to disappoint you. So please supply all the information you have. It makes our job much easier as well.
"The official kodi BACKUP app" I don't think there is such a thing. Are you referring to LibreELEC's backup/restore tool? Because that one works.

That is what is supposed to happen ..... you get access to the files contained in the zip!
