Raspberry Pi shutting down on HDMI source change

I have a Raspi running Kodi 17.3. But when I switch my TV from my regular TV decoder to the HDMI port of the Raspi it seems to shutdown most of the times. It this something known? Does anyone have tips?

Need more info. How are you powering the Pi? Are you using HDMI-CEC? Does your TV have a HDMI-CEC option 'shutdown devices' ?

Doublecheck your CEC settings in the Kodi "Input Devices" section.

My Kodi is always powered on and I do not use HDMI-CEC. I even had it switched off for a long time but that makes no different. I have it on now with no shut-downs in there on activity on my TV.
