DVD does not run...

    Hello @all

    I own a wetek play with latest LE installed and a DVD-drive attached via USB. When I try to play a DVD Kodi freezes and restarts some time later. I also tried to put the DVD into the drive and than boot the week but that doesn't matter...

    I see a lot TVHeadend stuff, but no DVD playing.

    For the sake of testing, can you rename your .kodi folder temporarily, reboot, so a clean & fresh setup is created without the TVH/PVR stuff, and then test the DVD again? And please try several DVD's.

    renamed .kodi

    rebooted

    small setup (just the basics)

    inserted DVD --> nothing (forgotten to plug in the USB-cable ;)

    pluged it

    rebooted

    Disc in menu --> start disc

    ---> crash

    tried some other discs but all the same

    It seems the disc can´t be read by libdvdcss or can´t be decrypted and kodi crashes on it. I´ll report that to the team

    hm... regionset und linux says the drive is region free... do I have to change it also?

    maybe it is important: I hooked it on a VM in virtual box on my OSX
