I have a "Venz" V10 pro media Box. This is running the dual boot facility, with Android and LibreElec. The LibreElec version is 7.0.3 and is running Kodi Jarvis 16.1.
The Kodi website says that we have to upgrade to Kodi Krypton, because the support for HTTPS is being withdrawn.
As a result I have two questions, is this upgrade really necessary, if yes - how do I go about it ?.
Upgrade from Kodi 16.1

The update is done as for any other LibreELEC installation. Find a matching *.tar file for your device, put that to the .update folder and reboot.
As you own some S905 device, there is no "official" support for this. We have some community AMLogic support.
Probably this might fit best:
Moved this thread to the amlogic subsection.

I think you should ask your box manufacturer for an upgrade, my builds are not compatible with dual-boot from Venz.

Thanks Guys- I will assume that for now any upgrade is unnecessary, and wait for news from Venz. My experiences with Kodi 17.1, so far have not been good. I prefer to stick with Jarvis.

The Kodi website says that we have to upgrade to Kodi Krypton, because the support for HTTPS is being withdrawn. No the Kodi website does not say this. A third-party website run by ignorant fcukwits that promotes piracy add-ons said that.
If you are using add-ons from that repo/website there is no further support available to you in this forum.
