Uefi mode

  • Hallo,
I'm running a Dual boot System Windows10 and Linux Mint in Uefi Mode on an Intel Nuc7i3 with two ssd! The First ssd includes the efi-Partition with the Boot Manager grub2 to Start Both Systems. Is it possible to install LE8 manuell and Integrate the Sytem in grub2? When I install First LE8 in Uefi-Mode, there is no efi Partition,
    Thx for your help!

  • Adding LE to a Linux is fairly easy (if you know what you're doing...). No idea how the approach works on UEFI hardware.
See this link and please report back if it works.

    Just that I understood:
    - In the 1GB ext4 partition I just copie the system and kernel file
    - Then I have to configure manuelly the grub2 entry for LE.
Perhaps you can explain the lines I have to add in 40_custom to boot into LE(I think there have to be the UUID of the kernel or system)

  • Would it be possible to convert a LE system that was installed with legacy boot to uefi? I have LE on one ssd and Windows on another, and I use Syslinux to multiboot.
