Video Tearing

  • Hi all,
I have installed LibreELEC 8.0.0 on my Odroid U3 and am mostly happy with the results. One of the issues I am having is that with several addons I am getting some video tearing. It looks like a thin line running horizontally across the screen with the top and bottom sections of the video slightly offset from each other. This happens mostly on higher quality videos and when there is a lot of action or scene jumps in the video. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The second problem is that in the music addons the visualisations don't work. When I try and start them I get the message "Can't Load Shared Library" this happens for Spectrum, Shadertoy and Waveform visualisations. Any help on this one?

    Thanks
    Jon

  • The Odroid U3 has an Exynos processor. This is the amlogic forum.

Wetek Hub: LibreElec 8.2.3.1 (Philips 42PFL8404)
    MK808B+: LibreElec 7.0.2.7 (Samsung UE55H6270)
    OTT MXQ Pro 4k (S905): LibreElec 7.0.3.12k (Denon X1200W, 7.1, LG PF1500G)
AKASO HM8 (S905X): CoreElec 9.0 dev build, Acer Revo 3610: Milhouse test

  • I don't own an Odroid so can you test if these visualizations work for you;

    shadertoy
    spectrum
    waveform

EDIT: not working on the Odroid U3

Can you try this one below after uninstalling the other one and report back please.
Try rebooting after installing if it doesn't work.

    spectrum for aarch64

  • In this thread, will make it easier and you have a better chance of someone with the same hardware helping you in the Amlogic section.

Does it install in your system?
The error is still the same? (Can't Load Shared Library)

Here is another one for you to try.

EDIT: confirmed working on Odroid U3
    spectrum-Odroid

  • The latest one works! I am a happy camper. Can you modify some of the others so that they work also.

Thanks for your help on this.

Great, sometimes it's hard to figure out exactly what to fix when you do not own the hardware.

Which other ones are you interested in, Shadertoy and Waveform?
