Tv Guide not closing after channel selection

hi just updated to v8.0.
issue is the tv guide does not close/disappear after selecting a channel.
so in tv guide select program then select switch. the channel comes on but the tv guide stays overlayed?

this did not happen in v7s

can anyone help?

Update. just did a clean install of v8
first time it closed the tv guide overlay but each time i selected tv guide and tried to switch stays overlayed.

hi i have tried 8.0.1 again. still got the same issue. has anyone seen this issue. happens with both confluence and default skin.

That shouldn't have any effect in the guide screen.

sorry had no effect.

BUT if i press "ok" again and then select "switch" again it disappears.?

Ooops. You are correct.

I get the same behavior reported here if I leave Settings->TV->Guide->"Default Select Action" set to "Show Information." However, after install one of the first things I do is set this to "Switch to Channel." With that setting it directly jumps and closes the guide, so I did not notice this behavior before..

I want to switch channels 99% of the time anyway and the other 1% of the time I can use the Info button on my remote.

so does this mean its a bug with the skin or pvr backend/frontend in version 8.x of libreelec, as this issue does not appear in v7.x of librelec?

just tried 8.1.0 and still got same issue with default skin? any ideas? thanks

8.1.1 also has this same issue.

Report the bug to Kodi via their forums. Kodi bugs are Kodi bugs, not LE bugs.

sorry, my mistake. i did report it with kodi and it is fixed for Kodi Leia(18) this is using kodi Krypton(17.4). again sorry.

Please share a link to the PR/fix for Leia and we can ask the Kodi developer who did the fix if it will backport for 17.5 ..
