[SOLVED] Build error: relink 'libblkid.la' before installing it

Hello,

when trying to build the latest git i am getting the following error:

Quote

error: relink 'libblkid.la' with the above command before installing it

Build command is:

Quote

PROJECT=Generic ARCH=x86_64 make image

I didn`t have those build problems in the past. The checkout is from yesterday with no modifications.
I am trying to build an image for update.

What`s wrong ?

This is normally because your build host needs to be updated, ie dist-upgrade.

Hi milhouse,

thanks but no chance. Made an upgrade & dist-upgrade and getting the same again. No more packages are outdated referenced to apt-get.

Build host is Linux mint 17.3.

I built some months ago with the same system without problems.

SOLVED: Switched over to Mint 18.1 finally via upgrade tool, now seems to build thank you
