Playing Audio CD - Album art lookup

    Hi forum,

    I have setup LibreELEC on a Raspberry Pi4 to play Audio CDs directly from a USB CD drive.

    I want info retrieved such as track info and Album art. Track info is working using the Universal Album Scraper, but Album art is blank and not retrieved. I tried all other scrapers including optional ones available for download.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on getting Album art to display, without ripping the cd? I just want to insert the cd and play it, with Album art and track info displayed.

    IIRC that's the correct behaviour for optical media. Scrapers are dependent on the library database so you need to rip the CD first.

    The underlying lookup services via CDDB/FreeDB/GnuDB kept changing over time - went defunct, or changed ownership or API access methods etc.

    There is a possible advancedsettings flag that might help:

    I don't know which, if any, of the lookup services are still working - gnudb.gnudb.org seems to be the one with most recent mentions.
