[RPi5] USB FLIRC no longer works

  • maranzon I'd suggest updating to the latest firmware via the flirc config app; and if that doesn't change anything log a ticket with the flirc support team as they are the experts in their products. The first check on most support flows is "is the user running the latest firmware? - if no, update" so tell them you already did that in the ticket opening.

  • User doemela asked you for information and you replied by stating that nobody has the time to properly report bugs. I don't know what people you meet online, because I've met plenty, during the past couple of decades, that were more than capable of properly reporting bugs and not coming to forums of open source project stating that they don't have the time to do so.

I don't know what Deepl translated, or what you understood.

I wrote that I don't want to make anyone waste their time spending days looking for my mistakes.

I've updated everything. I've also reprogrammed the Flirc several times.

Like I said, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It worked again briefly today. After restarting the Pi, it stopped working again.

I don't speak English. If I create a ticket, I don't know how I'll be understood there, especially since people here don't understand me and misquote me.

  • Hello,
I’m currently using the daily nightly builds on my Raspberry Pi 5.
Unfortunately, my USB Flirc no longer works with these. It worked perfectly in version 12.2.1 and, initially, in version 13 as well. The Flirc works with the PC programme and is recognised correctly by Libreelec and Kodi.
It’s just that the keyboard commands aren’t being executed.
    Has something been changed here?

    Many thanks and best regards

debug logs of it working and not working?

Our advice for this forum is always to post in your native language, then copy/paste the Google translation underneath. The same works with support tickets. The flirc team is fairly small, but all nice people, don't be shy.
