[RPi5] USB FLIRC no longer works

    Hello,
    I’m currently using the daily nightly builds on my Raspberry Pi 5.
    Unfortunately, my USB Flirc no longer works with these. It worked perfectly in version 12.2.1 and, initially, in version 13 as well. The Flirc works with the PC programme and is recognised correctly by Libreelec and Kodi.
    It’s just that the keyboard commands aren’t being executed.
    Has something been changed here?

    This might be a silly answer for you and might not help you at all.

    But on my RPi5 with the latest software

    (LibreELEC-RPi5.aarch64-13.0-nightly-20260924-1fca19c.img), the FLIRc works perfectly.

    Wenn es Libreelec nicht ist, deins funktioniert ja und der FLIRC es nicht ist, muss es etwas dazwischen sein. Und dazwischen war nur ein Hub an welchem eine Maus und eine Bluetooth Tastatur stecken. Jetzt habe ich den FLIRC direkt am Raspi angesteckt, Maus und Tastatur hängen noch am Hub und dieser an einem anderen Raspi USB Port. Nun geht es. Mir erschließt sich nur nicht, warum es die ganze Zeit so ging und jetzt auf einmal nicht mehr. Aber danke für deine Hilfe, der Hinweis war gut. Brauchte ich nicht mehr da suchen wo ich die ganze Zeit gesucht hatte.

    If it’s not LibreELEC — yours is working, after all — and it’s not the FLIRC either, then there must be something in between causing the problem. The only thing in between was a USB hub with a mouse and a Bluetooth keyboard connected to it.

    I’ve now plugged the FLIRC directly into the Raspberry Pi. The mouse and keyboard are still connected to the hub, and the hub is plugged into a different USB port on the Raspberry Pi. Now it works.

    I just don’t understand why it worked like that all the time and suddenly stopped working. But thanks for your help — that was a really good hint. It saved me from continuing to look in the wrong place, which is where I’d been looking the whole time.
