[RPi4] NTP Problem

    Is that log using DHCP or manual? .. have you configured NTP servers? - In short, I'd like to see a log using normal DHCP and no additional configuration; thus anything we see in the log is your network pushing config to the device through the DHCP scope.

    I'd also like to see a log with connman debug logging enabled. How that's achieved seems to have changed, but perhaps just add debug to kernel boot params in cmdline.txt and reboot.

    Your network is definitely unusual, as evidenced by the NTP server responding with Kiss-of-Death packets.

    as I already mentioned. In your configuration, connmand adjust a second time, that is wrong. Should only happen once from: 2026-07-23 (libc release -> start date) to today.

    You will drift away an additional day into the future with every additional day calculated from libc start to today, because it's adjusted a second time with the same delta:

    My router provides also a local NTP and it works fine with LE, so it appears an issue triggered by your specific configuration. The resulting behaviour of connmand appears strange to me, but the following line could be the cause:

    Your pfSense is rejecting the NTP client requests because they are occurring too frequently. You should disable or adjust the "Kiss-of-Death" settings in the pfSense configuration and try again.

    Repro rPi4 is clean, AUG 5 build. All I did was boot it, finish the wizard (including set of my local TZ) and then I used the LE add-on to turn off the wi-fi (network is hard wired). That's it. Whatever the defaults are, that's what I was using (looks to be DHCP yes).

    Yes, I have NTP services enabled on my network via pfSense.

    I think you nailed both nailed it chewitt and HarryH: the NTP server settings in pfSense did indeed have KOD enabled (for some bloody reason; I swear that was off before). I disabled that, rebooted *everything* and now both rPis running the AUG 5 LE are showing the right time inside KODI when they boot up. Every time! Wonderful!!
