Kernel drivers have interdependencies and probe order isn't guaranteed so it's quite normal to see "fail" or "timeout" or "deferred" on first probe until dependencies are resolved and then probe succeeds (often silently or with low noise) later in the sequence. So is there an actual problem?

Also i found h264 videos with aac audio, which runt freezing on start of playing with broken decoding. Here is one of them:

Device is booting and going at nvme with spi 2.0 from armbian. Only new information, maybe is everyday for rockchips.
If is enabled drm prime then is netflix video not played. Tested also at last build from 12. august 2026.
-
Playing local h264 was solved with change direct to plane to setting of EGL. But for playing Netlix i have turn off whole DRM Prime.
-
With h264 in neflix are video not playing if is activated DRM Prime, If are av1 videos, then is playing with green artefacts.

2026-07-26 16:44:31.885 T:1760 error <general>: CDVDVideoCodecDRMPRIME::FilterOpen - avfilter_graph_config: Invalid argument (-22)
In code "error" denotes a code path ending. In some cases that it represents a fatal problem. In others it represents nothing more than reaching the end of a branch in some form of logic or decision tree. In this case the content is not interlaced hence opening the deinterlace filter (correctly) errors and playback continues.
Please repeat tests on the current dev image from my test share. I have little interest in current Rockchip nightlies as they use older kernel drivers and ffmpeg, etc.
-
OK, but there firstly i tested only as fresh install,... and i see big issue with turning off, which is freezing at black screen with title of build. Only after succesfully solution of turning off i will going to reinstall nightly build to development build.
-
And in case of problematic h264 local files (ff-mpeg4-drm_prime (SW)) with ativated drm prime and Direct to plane is not playing video:

According to AI Gemini is the reason for "turn -off issue" this error: rockchip-pm-domain ... Failed to create device link (0x180) with supplier 1-0042 which is connected with regulator fan53555
Recommendation for Kernel Maintainer from AI Gemini:
The boot logs highlight a probe ordering (race condition) issue on the Radxa Rock 5B+ (RK3588) running kernel 7.2.0. The rockchip-pm-domain driver attempts to establish device links before the corresponding PMIC suppliers are fully registered:
- Failed to create device link (0x180) with supplier 1-0042 for power-domain@8 (I2C FAN53555 regulator)
- Failed to create device link (0x180) with supplier spi2.0 for power-domain@12 (Main SPI PMIC)
Suggested Mitigation: Adjust probe dependency ordering or ensure proper probe deferral within the rockchip-pm-domain driver and power controller subsystem. The power-domain controller must defer initialization until the required suppliers (spi2.0 and I2C devices) complete their registration, preventing missing device links that break system shutdown and suspend states.

After 2 minutes playing of neflix at nightly build of LE13 with disabed drm prime are also issues.

To be crystal clear, I have zero interest in bug reports against this kernel as it's about to be superseded with the 7.2 kernel as used in the images from my test shares. Dealing with temp things is a low priority to investigate, so repeatedly posting the same "still not working" post is just becoming annoying. I also haven't read the AI-slop 'guidance' posted, because Gemini is total garbage.
