[S905W] LibreELEC 12.2 for X96mini (1GB)

With this build I have issues with video, such as flashing screens with some decoders, but when I started with a clean Debian Trixie (kernel 6.18.10) image from here: https://github.com/devmfc/debian-on-amlogic and installed Kodi from the Debian repository, the video was working great on the same files. Only problem is using ssh to configure bluetooth, etc is a hassle. I see in the release notes for 6.18 -- "Rust-Based Drivers: The introduction of Rust-based drivers, including the new Tyr driver for ARM Mali GPUs, marks a significant development not present in 6.16." So, I am wondering if this could be why I am getting better graphics, and if so are there plans to build with this kernel? I have tried images of LE13 on this device, but they don't boot for me.
