The command "installentware" installed Entware without any issues, and now I’m saving a ton of time by quickly installing all sorts of handy tools.

I did not know about this feature. This is great, having access to opkg. This image is really useful. The game emulators run well on this kernel. I had been using EmuElec on my 905W box, but will switch over to this

I was able to build a release image ready to write to a micro SD card (using make image instead of ./scripts/image image), write it and then start from it. And on first run, it prompted me to connect to wireless networks and did so successfully, so that's very nice.

However, when coming back to the device a few hours later, it had forgotten the wifi password as it was asking for it again. The device was no longer reachable on the network either. Is this a known issue? is there a place to track this bug?

You mentioned this is "rootless". Are all users that need to access wifi in the netdev group? I would also check the router and see what the DHCP lease time is, and whether that matches the time before the connection is dropped. There may be something in the router log about failed lease requests.

Is there any way I can send one of you guys my android tv box(HK1 p281) and have you upgrade it to the latest firmware possible? I tried very hard to boot it into recovery mode using "Android TV Tools" and then none of the files I tried to update it with seem to be working. Thank you in advance.

These are not Android firmwares, so using Android tools will not work. If you want to upgrade your Android firmware, you will need a file from the manufacturer

I have an X96mini clone where the box label says it is 4GB RAM (it is 1GB) and the SoC is silk screened as S905W (it is RK3228A 1.2Ghz SoC). As I posted above it runs great on the 3/11 build of 12.2 using the generic dtb, but I am following up to say it is so much more responsive after enabling DDR3 and higher CPU speed with the rk322x-box-mxq4kpro.dtb. With a heat sink and 5V fan, it makes a good media PC

You have to let it boot and create the filesystem for the "STORAGE" partition, then you can add the remote configuration. This is a good guide and includes a keymap that will work if your remote is the same as the one pictured (it is for CoreElec, but the remote configuration is the part to pay attention to). I would skip the tests and just create the files listed, and reboot. https://www.rigacci.org/wiki/doku.php/…_remote_control

I have a large list of changes to work on and current progress is rather slow, so I will update images at some point soon, but to avoid breaking promises I'm not going to give a timeline on when.

Keeping it fun is a lot more important than speed :) I have a solution but will check back occasionally on this because LibreElec 13 for these devices would really rock. The Mesa graphics drivers are really working great now. Debian Trixie with kodi-standalone is working for me, but RAM usage is sometimes hitting 600MB, so it is just a bit too much OS for Kodi LOL

Report for X96mini, S905W, 1gb RAM. Using LibreELEC-AMLGX.aarch64-13.0-nightly-20260406-ee528fc-box.img.gz with meson-gxl-s905w-p281.dtb. System tries to boot, but enters a loop rebooting about every 5 seconds. Possibly looking for 2GB RAM? This system is not a priority for me, I mostly use it to play games with Emuelec, but reporting here in case it might be of benefit. If it is a RAM issue, it may be widespread because I believe most of these were built with 1gb RAM

With this build I have issues with video, such as flashing screens with some decoders, but when I started with a clean Debian Trixie (kernel 6.18.10) image from here: https://github.com/devmfc/debian-on-amlogic and installed Kodi from the Debian repository, the video was working great on the same files. Only problem is using ssh to configure bluetooth, etc is a hassle. I see in the release notes for 6.18 -- "Rust-Based Drivers: The introduction of Rust-based drivers, including the new Tyr driver for ARM Mali GPUs, marks a significant development not present in 6.16." So, I am wondering if this could be why I am getting better graphics, and if so are there plans to build with this kernel? I have tried images of LE13 on this device, but they don't boot for me.

    LibreELEC-RK322X.arm-12.2-nightly-20260311-1b9970a-rk322x.img.gz

Is working great on my generic 1GB box. Thanks for the work! Video with the Lima driver is very nice

Hi, I have been trying with no luck to get this working. I also have a Debian Trixie SD card that I book from, and I was able to just install this project with pip3 and run the included clock.py example. https://gitlab.com/matsievskiysv/gpiod-tm1637. I am running LibreELEC nightly 13.0 for the orange-pi-pc. I tried uploading the directories from my venv in Debian to local storage, and used sys to point to the path, but it says it can't find TM1637
