[x86-64] LibreElec 13.0 Nightly uses wrong Video Database Version

  • I have a mixed setup at home of devices on all kinds of OS'es.
Android (TV, Tablet, Phones), Windows (VM's/PC's) and Linux (VM's, Intel Nuc running LibreElec).
I updated Kodi on all Android and Windows devices to the most recent V22 Alpha 2 version.

Strangely enougn, LibreElec keeps forcing the MySQL Video Database to be upgraded to version 141, while all other official Kodi installers use version 139.
I also dove in to installing Ubuntu and compiling Kodi from scratch, which also defaults to database version 139.

Is this a bug, or done on purpose?
Any way to force LibreElec to use db version 139?

  • Libreelec nightly is frequently updated to the most recent kodi commits.

They are not v22 alpha 2, but v22 alpha 3 previews, with a more recent db version than 139

  • Any way to force LibreElec to use db version 139?

You cannot force, but you can downgrade to an older nightly that still uses the same DB version. Note that you will then need to drop the newer tables from the database else when you later bump to a newer version the tables already exist and the migration process will not be (re)triggered.
