This build now uses the exFAT-nofuse driver, which is much faster than the FUSE driver that ships in regular LE.

I read Raspberry Bootmode, and understand we can "update" the bootcode.bin to add USB as booting device.
Do you think it will be possible to install libreelec to a HDD for use with a RPi3 ?
-
Sure, just run "/usr/bin/emulationstation.start --frontend" in autostart.sh.
Hi i just tested this and it doesn't work, it still boot to kodi.
I created autostart.sh with "nano /storage/.config/autostart.sh" and saved it.
I don't know where is the problem

Works fine here.

The TS-video map with LE V8.1.0 and LE V8.0.2 is working well, after update to LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.2-devel-20170820 , LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.2-devel-20170831 it's stops playing the video.
Kodi error log (20170831):
Hardware : Intel I5 , 4GB , Nvidea GTX 1050
There is also a problem with Dolphin, it does not start.
Dolphin log :
dolphin-emu: error while loading shared libraries: libLLVM-4.0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
-
I've uploaded a build with the Dolphin issue fixed. Can't reproduce the TS issue, DVD ISO playing fine here.
-
Thanks, will check it tonight.

Works fine here.
OK the first time I used this in autostart.sh:
but I changed it to:
and now it works!

and about emulationstation have you checked the fork from retropie?
There is added support for video previews in this fork!
you can test a standalone windows version here:
-
Indeed, I played around with it before: emulationstation: switch to retropie version · escalade/LibreELEC.tv@2057100 · GitHub
I ultimately decided against it as it added like 40-50 MB to the image with the added ffmpeg2 dependency. Now that we have Zstd compression I might reconsider, although I don't see video previews as a killer feature. It's cool and all, but at the end of the day I'm not sure the added size is worth it for a distro like LibreELEC.

20170902:
Codeppsspp-libretro: update to fcf95be libnfs: update to df94ae9 mesa: update to 909f2b6 (17.2-rc6) qemu: update to 2.10.0 exfat-utilities: properly remove fuse dependency from configure scripts cmake: update to 3.9.1 libgcrypt: update to 1.8.1 linux: update to 4.12.10
Both builds are cleanly built. Nothing earth shattering, ppsspp has been synced with upstream I believe.

Hi escalade,
I tried to update from an old version of your build to the latest, and I got the error you talk about in the README file ; so I downloaded the version that is in the "Archive" folder, but the problem is, I cannot push it to the "Update" folder from an other machine using Samba, because Libreelec is stuck at the error message, and does not start Kodi at all ; is there any way to skip the update process so that I can have access Samba, delete the file in Update and push the "Archive" one instead ?
Edit : nevermind, I could delete the content of the Update folder thanks to a Live Linux USB.
-
escalade : how come you don't have an update file any more? It kinda blows to get a USB stick just to update your dist as I cannot mount the attached .img file in Windows.
Would it be possible to keep at least one update file a long side with the installation img? Thank you in advance. -
The tar file is obsolete with LibreELEC as you can upgrade with the image file.
-
on my ubuntu I have to add -v $HOME/.Xauthority:/root/.Xauthority and it works fine
but LE don't have xauth and the magic cookie .Xauthority generated, so I can't use it
I have another doubt as I only have LE on my ION with nvidia drivers to test my docker
and the ubuntu where it runs fine is under intel drivers could it be the reason?
Come back home and tested it on my NUC, and no problem on it, no need of .Xauthority
but can't be run on machine with nvidia (ION) drivers

my DS4 and air mouse work perfectly together until I lunch a ROM! once the rom is lunched then either nothink will work or limited button will work on the air mouse but nothing on the DS4 except L3+R3 tp access retroarch menu.
sometimes even L3+R3 will not work and I have to unplug the air mouse and the DS4 and plug my keyboard to press F1 to access the menu.
in other cases even the keyboard will not work!
DS4 is connected through bluetooth
Air mouse and Keyboard are wireless!
Update: the issue still persisting. I attached my LOG file

Yes, but the issue is that you cannot mount the img file, Windows says the file is damaged and cannot be open, thus you have to "burn" it to a USB and use the files from there to update the system.
