[RPI4+RPI5] + LE 12.2.0 + TVH 4.3-2433 + hauppauge wintv dual hd (si2168) not working after upgrade

  • Hello,

The wintv dual seems to be there, but if i try to add muxes, it doesn't work. (DVB-C, Germany, "Privatkabelanlage")
Everything was ok before with the former LE Version.

    what could be the reason?`

    thank you,

    stefan

P.S.: I also tried it with a Pi5, but only got the same result.

  • Hi, the existent channels working? Probably is a TVHeadend server addon or a tuner driver issue. In the TVH server addon settings, at versions, could you change to an older version (if listed any, disable the auto-update first)? Or maybe you could update to a newer 12.2 nightly version, small chance, but if in the kernel-driver, maybe already fixed.

If you have time and a spare SDcard, you can try even the latest LE13 nightly build too. Just a quick test, with basic settings, THV server, and to see if it's working or not.

  • Thank you.

I tried it with LE13, but I have the same failure. (tvh 4.3 latest version)
it was the build from yesterday.

I will try tvh 4.2. older versions now.
    - tried with 4.2.8-36 didn't bring other results.

    Any other Ideas?

P.S.: all muxes work on the attached TV.

  • P.S.:

strange - a very old version of LE (9.2.x) doesn't work too.

so the last known working configuration was the one that I had with a rpi 3b.

I tested the stick with the windows software - everything is working there.

  • Hello,
i just tried it with the latest LE Nightly build from 08/28, but no success.

should I try to ask somewhere else ? where? tvheadend forum`?

    Thank you,

    Stefan

  • As it stands, I can't solve the problem on my own...
I have a spare tuner (Win TV Dual HD) that I would be happy to make available to any interested developers. Apparently, the problem exists across several versions of Librelec, Kodi and TVH.
One special feature in my case is perhaps the private cable system, which means that the allocation of channels to frequencies may be different from that of the major cable providers.

So, as I said, I would make the WinTV dual HD available.
    Can anyone help here?

    Thanks, Stefan (from Mainz)

P.S.: I found the problem. I was missing some "0" in the Symbolrate...

  • One more question. How can I save the list of muxes that I have now entered manually so that it can be used for an automatic search in the future? (OK, this is not a LibreELEC question either, of course...)
    Thanks,
    Stefan
