Hi, I am having a hard time installing a newer version of kodi on my chromebox from a usb stick. I currently have krypton 17.3 generic .x86_64 and cannot for the life of me install the newer version onto my chromebox. Any help would be very welcome.
Help updating chromebox to 20.3 from 17.3

I'm not aware of any project staff that use Chromeboxes these days. Have you looked at the MrChromebox site?
Are there any specific errors with the update process?

I wiped the chromebox and installed libreelec with linux. The issue I am having is the inability to unzip and install the files from my usb. I will check out mrchromebox, thank you. What devices work best now if I have to go away from the chromebox? We have a home theater, and need a platform to stream into our projector via our receiver.

Are you going to run LibreELEC the recomendation probably will be Raspberry Pi 5.

Have you tried updating the existing install instead of reinstalling? .. our general advice is to clean install when making large OS/Kodi bumps but all you really need to do is stop Kodi and rename /storage/.kodi to /storage/.kodi-old so the post-update Kodi starts with a clean config and no Python2 add-ons installed.
