LibreELEC (Omega) 12.0.2

  • Hi,

The upgrade went smoothly but after trying to run Netflix I got the usual message that Widevine needed updating. Ran through that and then get an error message: {Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/sotorage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.module.inputstreamhelper/backup/15699.72.0.0'

I tried deleting the cdn folder and got Widevine to reinstall but with the same result.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers

    David

I forgot to add there is a folder named 15699.72.0 not 15699.72.0.0

  • Hi,

    This happens to me:

Clean install on RPi5 LE 12.0.2 on NVME.

    [FAILED] Failed to start nmbd.service.

    [FAILED] Failed to start smbd.service.

    [FAILED] Failed to start kodi.service.

    Kind regards,

    Daniel

  • dvelev I don't see [FAILED] anywhere in that log, and the kodi.log shows Kodi is up/running. All I see is a normal system and normal startup /shrug

EDIT: spotted by CvH : usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 is at the logs, so something attatched to the usb port isn't working.

  • A really strange situation is occurring.
I have been using LibreELEC for many years without any problems.

First I tried an upgrade - same errors, then I did a clean install - same again.

I have never had such a case before...

Edit: The problem is with Samba, when I manage to start LibreELEC Samba is disabled.

  • Release after release, you guys rock!

Just did a manual upgrade from the latest 11.xx release to this on the Pi4 that has been my media centre for longer than I can remember.

Database migrated without trouble, plugins migrated and updated without trouble. Jellyfin server connected. Everything works perfectly. Just like after every update.

I'm a software developer myself and the pure quality of the releases that the LibreELEC team makes is just so nice.

I topped up your OpenCollective pot. I was sad to see that it only showed such a small number of people had donated. I hope that's just a bug in OpenCollective.

Thanks again for making my media so easy to view and listen to!

  • N150 hardware probably requires a newer kernel, so best to use LE13 nightlies for now. There's no firm ETA on LE13 release but I expect Kodi to ship Piers before DevCon in early April, so within in the next couple of months.

  • Run "pastekodi" and share the log. Eyeballs on logs are better than ESP when it comes to guessing the issue.

    Hi all,

The problem with the upgrade to LibreELEC 12.0.2 has been fixed for me.

    I use this with RPi5:

NVMe Base for Raspberry Pi 5 by Pimoroni - https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/nvme-…=41219587178579

After I enabled PCIe 3 mode support, the problem was solved:

    Quote

    PCIe 3 Mode

To enable experimental and not-officially-supported PCIe 3 mode, add the follow line to the [all] section at the end of your Raspberry Pi /boot/firmware/config.txt file like this:

    Code
    [all]
    dtparam=pciex1_gen=3

Save and reboot - your drive is ready to use!

Thank you for the great job done.

    Kind regards,

    Daniel
