Amlogic unsupport de-interlacing function

  • Hi All,

I have a tablet using amlogic chipset, how can I determine if the chipset supports de-interlacing function?

I tried to play the video 1080i but it only shows half of the video height. I also tried to find the "/sys/module/di" folder in the tablet but could not see, if the "/sys/module/di" folder is not presented then do we have enough evidence to conclude this chipset does not support de-interlacing function?

    cpu info of my tablet:

    adb shell cat /proc/cpuinfo

I would appreciated if all you could help me with these queries.

    Thank all,

  • ARMv8 Amlogic chips support hardware deinterlacing - as long as the OS implements support for the hardware. In your case the tablet device is running Android so you're in the wrong forum - we support our own OS, not Android.
