[RPi5 2GB] GUI shows no text, only background pictures

Hello,

I have a new Raspberry Pi 5 (2 Go) and I installed Libreelec 12 on an sd card.

The first boot is ok, it generates filesystem. But then, it reboots and I get this weird screen (see attachment) with no text and only background pictures.

I tried without success :

- change sd card

- change image software

- change screen

- librelec 11 instead of 12

Any idea ?

You need to use an LE12 nightly which contains some updates specicially for RPi5 2GB which was realeased annoyingly shortly after LE 12.0.1 was made available. Update and it should work fine.

Thank you. Same issue, I used the latest “daily”. I presume that is correct (and my 2gb is now working)?

We mark our builds as "stable" or "nightly". You need latest "nightly" for RPi5 2GB:
