Connectivity issues on Kodi: stream stops (includes logs)

  • When I'm watching a stream on LibreELEC/kodi on my raspberry pi 5, sometimes the screen freezes, stops and resets to the main menu of kodi. I'm connected with ethernet and the speed seems to be sufficient, but I get multiple 'eth0: link is down' error messages in the logs. These messages pop up quite sporadically, so I'm doubting whether its the cable. I also get 'mtu: 1500' warnings, so I figured I might increase the mtu value.

Anyone has a good suggestion for fixing this problem?

    normal log:

    crash log:

    paste.libreelec.tv/unified-bream.log

    There's many lines like this:

    Code
Jul 11 10:02:02.345485 CptGarbageRPI kernel: macb 1f00100000.ethernet eth0: Link is Down

which all seem to be preceded by

    Code
    Jul 11 10:00:58.503316 CptGarbageRPI connmand[635]: eth0 {newlink} index 2 address 2C:CF:67:28:76:42 mtu 1500

and around this time (10:02), the stream froze and stopped, resetting to the kodi main menu.
