Starting NHK World Live plugin (or anything streaming live?) at startup :)

    Hello!

    I can't find anything related to my problem, so here's my question:

    Is there a way to start the NHK World live tv stream automatically when I start my Raspberry with Libreelec, without having to navigate thru all the menu's?

    I just think it's nice if my libreelec just behave as a normal TV set, so when I turn on the tv and the raspberry, the live program is there, running without doing anything else.

    I can't find how to do it. The plugin is NHK World TV or something like that.

    The same question is valid also for other live streams like, for example, ABC News or other information sources...

    PS i NEVER used Libreelec / Kodi, just tried it a LOT of years ago :)

    You can script kodi-send commands from the console to run/open the add-on, see https://kodi.wiki/view/List_of_built-in_functions but that will only work if the add-on automatically starts playing the stream when opened. If it presents any kind of menu/list of things to play the only option would be to include "keyboard" navigation too. That's possible via JSON-RPC, which is what phone-remote apps are using to drive the GUI, but the best place to ask for that advice would be the Kodi forum.
